The oh-yeah of going out first and receiving the value of your opponent’s leftover letters to add to your score. Anyone who’s ever gotten hooked on this pastime will know all about it. Scrabble is the game of words that’s been a hit for over 75 years – a staple in many a family, a boredom buster bar none, a fab way to while away the hours on holidays or rainy days.

And now the beloved boardgame is getting is getting a makeover – and while die-hards may be horrified, Mattel, which distributes the game, is hoping it will appeal to even more people now. And by that, they mean Generation Z.
