It looks like an Eskom utility vehicle, complete with a ladder and all set to transport officials around country to work on pesky power lines.

In fact, it’s so convincing even a senior Eskom executive mistook it for the real thing when he saw a photograph of it — although he did think it had “strange tyres”.

The reality, though, is this is a half-a-metre high replica of the real thing and it was created by Seun Diphoko, the guy known as the master craftsman of wire car-car building.
