We're only at the back end of March, and the Proteas women's ongoing white-ball series against Sri Lanka will be their last before September's T20 Women's World Cup in Bangladesh.

As South Africa approaches winter, the off-season is welcomed by professional players. For the majority of the senior members of the Proteas women, their season included December's Bangladesh series, a gruelling all-format tour to Australia, coupled with a long Women's BBL and this month's Women's IPL.

However, things start to get drawn out when there's a looming global showpiece scheduled for September and no competitive action scheduled in the lead up to it (so far).
