The Gqeberha businessman who stabbed his estate agent wife, Cheryl-Ann Kannemeyer, two days after Christmas last year "until her blood sprayed in his face", messaged his youngest son and called his pastor seconds after the murder to tell them what he had done.
As part of a plea deal with the State, Kannemeyer, 58, confessed in the Eastern Cape High Court in Gqeberha on Tuesday to assaulting and killing his estranged wife.
Cheryl-Ann was found fatally wounded inside her car, a Honda Jazz, at the couple's home in Beetlestone Road, Gelvandale, on 27 December.
