Thursday's weather: Risk of fire in some regions, but fine to warm elsewhere

The South African Weather Service has issued a fire danger warning for the northern and south-eastern parts of the Northern Cape as well as in places over the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape.

Fine and cool to warm temperatures are expected for Gauteng.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

MpumalangaLimpopo and the North West will all be fine and warm.

Fine and warm conditions are forecast for the Free State, becoming partly cloudy in the west.

The Northern Cape can expect fine to partly cloudy and cool to warm temperatures.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh south-easterly, becoming strong from the afternoon.

Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are forecast for the eastern parts of the Western Cape, with morning fog over the southern parts, otherwise it will be fine and cool to warm.

The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate north-westerly to westerly along the south-west and south coasts, otherwise a moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is moderate.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be cloudy in the south, with fog patches in the morning, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and warm.

The wind along the coast will be a light north-westerly at times during the morning, otherwise a light to moderate south-westerly is expected.

Partly cloudy and warm to hot conditions are forecast for the eastern half of the province.

The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate north-easterly.

KwaZulu-Natal can expect partly cloudy conditions, with morning fog, becoming fine and warm from the late morning.

The wind along the coast will be a light westerly to north-westerly at first, otherwise a moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly is expected.
