Drunk taxi driver on duty, speeding high-flyer wanted for 63 warrants, arrested in Cape Town

A Cape Town taxi driver driving a vehicle with passengers while under the influence of alcohol was arrested on Monday morning, while on Friday a high-flying speedster was caught in the act and is expected in court for 63 outstanding warrants.

The City of Cape Town said traffic officials also impounded 148 vehicles and executed 1 923 warrants of arrest over the past week.

On Monday morning, traffic officers were patrolling when they stopped the minibus taxi between Hout Bay and Camps Bay.
