Through his decision to form the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, former president Jacob Zuma has "written his own history", his former deputy, Kgalema Motlanthe, said on Friday.
"Well, all of us as individuals, leaders and as members of organisations write our own history by the choices that we make. So, he has made his own choices and that is history. He's made his own history," he said.
Despite having effectively left the ANC, with his announcement that he would vote for the MK Party and his bid to remain on that party's candidates' list, Zuma said he remained a member of the ANC.
