'I'm disappointed': Struggle stalwart Mavuso Msimang slams ANC candidates amid state capture concerns

When ANC veteran Mavuso Msimang agreed to renew his ANC membership after a high-profile brief resignation in November, he was promised that the party would deal with state capture-implicated leaders once and for all.

This, along with working in ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula's office as part of the team that would compile the list of candidates, was one of the conditions that led to his return. 

But in March, the ANC candidates' list was unveiled, and it included names of members who were accused by the Zondo Commission of being implicated in corruption.
