In recent statements, uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party leaders Visvin Reddy and Bonginkosi Khanyile were trying to say the party would "make sure" of an elections boycott if former president Jacob Zuma was not on ballot papers.

Furthermore, the party believes if there is any threat to free and fair elections, that risk comes from the IEC's litigious "bombardment" of the party - not the "inciteful" remarks.
