  • Are you a student still struggling to get funding through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, or dealing with delayed allowance payments?
  • News24 wants to hear your experience.
  • Email us your submission and it could be featured in this week's edition of Friday Briefing.

Studying for a degree is hard enough. Add to the mix ongoing National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) allowance delays.

In recent months, thousands of students have not received their allowance payments from NSFAS, making it difficult for them to buy food, or pay their rent, and putting them at risk of possible eviction.

NSFAS did indicate on Monday that it would conduct a special allowance payment run to ensure students receive outstanding allowance payments, which should hopefully provide some breathing space.

Other students are still waiting to hear if they will receive any funding.
