Q.

MMR vaccine

Hi Professor, My 12 year old son has had the MMR Vaccine twice, when he was 15 months and 6 years old. Is it necessary for him to have it again at 12 years old? I have read on the Vaccination Card that it is only necessary if only once done before, or never before, so just want to double check. Thank you for your time. Merry Christmas.

It is a pleasure. Merry Christmas to you too. Your son is up to date with his MMR. He had his booster dose at 6 years. There is no need for him to have another MMR vaccination at 12 years
