Dear Anonymous, It is important that you remain vigilant about the gland that appeared. The fact that it is sensitive and painful need not necessarily indicate that it may be cancerous. Swollen glands (as a result of cancer) tend to appear more slowly. It is important to check the whole arm to see whether there is anything else that may have caused the gland to become swollen like a wound or insect bite.
It is suggested that you continue to watch the swollen gland and if it persists, please make an appointment with a health professional to determine the cause. (MCH).
