Q.

Mucus for months

I have mucus in my throat for several months, but am not sick, do not have a sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, or any other symptoms. Sometimes when it is thicker my chest or sinuses feels congested. Why? and how do I make it go away?

It could be due to laryngo-pharyngeal reflux or chronic rhinitis. Best to see

your ENT in order to examine and advise as to which it is. Rhinitis is treated with a nasal steroid spray and saline washes, and for reflux you might need a trial of treatment.
