Q.

Higher dosage

Is 134/96 on Prexum 5mg considered controlled/safe or do I need a higher dose? I’m a 35 year old female, a bit overweight but I’ve recently implemented lifestyle changes. I’ve been on Prexum 5mg for the last 6 months since my diagnosis.

Lifestyle changes is extremely important, but, you can also take a higher dose of Prexum/Perindopril, there is a brand that has a 8mg tablet, or you may ask your dr to prescribe Prexum Plus to aim for BP 120/80.
