Hi Doctor, I have a been HIV positive for more 12 years & I only started ARV'S November 2015 after I got sick and at the hospital they told me that I have heart problems & my legs have & feet have been getting swollen for many years especially in summer when I'm sited the whole day but in winter they are normal. I live in Pretoria and I don't know where to get help. The hospital is giving me a pill for the heart but the pills are not helping the swelling. The name if the pill is Bio Atenolol & I take half of it once a day.

You need to see a specialist physician. Please go to your nearest GP and ask for a referral letter to a specialist physician. Swollen legs and feet with heart problems need to be investigated. The specialist physician will know what to do
