Q.

Can a diabetic use bioplus?

I'm a type 2 diabetic, relatively new, diagnosed in May 2019 and my average HbA1c is about 6.4. I use Metformin as well Astorvastatin. I just came across the bioplus sachets in the store and i just want to know whether I can use them on the off chance that I feel a bit lathargic at work?

Hi

The amount of sugar contained in Bioplus is 31g per 250 ml, and therefore depending on the amount of Bioplus that you have, it will increase your glucose levels. It also contains large amounts of caffeine, which can increase your blood pressure, which is often be a probelm with diabetes. I would avoiding it
