There are 2 possible reasons. The first is a post-bronchitic syndrome whereby the airways are raw and still healing from an acute infection. This may take up to 8 weeks to heal. The second possibility is one of a chronic post-nasal drip for which you will need to take nasal sprays and antihistamines. Your GP will need to arrange this for you.
