Cortisone injections

Should cortisone injections be taken on a regular basis. I have had one injection with no effect

They should not be taken on a regular basis, unless we know what we are treating.

If you had no effect, the chances are they will not help on a second occasion.
It is not clear which joint and for what diagnosis you were given the injection.
