Q.

Gout

my right leg third toe joints swelled up, it was about 2 months like that before it started to give severe pain for which i went to doctor. this was 3 weeks ago, Doctor found high uric acid levels and then i was on colchicine and diclofenac for 2 weeks, and on prednisone for 5 days. during that time i noticed pain in my right leg ankle and left hand wrist. since healing has not been complete she has recommended me to a specialist. Prof, i want to know how long does it take for uric acid to be removed from joints and what can i do to increase its removal?

Uric acid will only move away from the joint when the blood level becomes lower than 0.35

You need to be on Puricos and you will have less attacks and the swelling will resolve
You may need to continue colchicine for a while longer.
