Q.

Vyvanse or Aderall

Hi Doctor, I have been on Ritalin and Flutex for ADHD and anxiety. The Ritalin seem just like taking drugs for nothing cos I card hardly notice the effect. The Flutex really calmed my anxiety, reduced my level of irritation and unnecessary panic but not quite enough. I'm still forgetful, hate any task that would require concentration, process information a bit slowly, forget what I was saying in the middle of speaking etc. Could it be that Ritalin isn't working for me? Will it be wise to try Vyvanse or Aderall and are they now available in SA. It's not available in my country. Andrew

Please consult with your psychiatrist for a review of your medication, especially your dose and dosing schedule. It is also important to be assessed for a co-occurring anxiety disorder. Vyvance and Aderall is not as yet available in SA.
