I'm sure some of our readers have experience of such situations, and they should be able to give you good advice -- I'm not an expert in such matters.
You don't seem to mention whether the arrangement you made with Him was done informally, between yourselves, or whether it was done through a court. I always recommend this, as the decision can be more fairly made ; it can be revised by the court if circumstances change, and the court can enforce the decision, pushing deadbeat ads to pay up. You should be able to get free legal advice from the Law Clinic at your nearest law school, and there may be a Family Advocate's office at your magistrate's Court which also could advise.
