Contraceptive over age of 40

I am 44 and was just told yesterday by clinic sister that I should not be on Nordette as I am above 40 years. I should rather use the 3 month injection? I don't smoke no medical problems. Could you please advise as I have been on Nordette for last 6 years at least. Thank you Jewels

If you have had a thorough assessment and definitely do not have high blood pressure or any cardiac problems or risk factors, then it is probably okay to continue, but only if you have very regular medical check-ups.

Best wishes
