The Premier Soccer League is seeking legal advice over a potential new contract with Wyscout, a leading video service company that has previously supplied footage of their games around the world.
Owned by American giants Hudl and preferred by scouts, clubs and agents to assess data of players they’ve shown interest in, Wyscout could not agree terms with the PSL at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
It’s believed the League had instead taken a decision to put the rights out to tender with a bidding process the next step. This froze out Wyscout and left those who rely on the service stranded – and even delaying any genuine attention DStv Premiership stars, especially Bafana Bafana players at the Africa Cup of Nations, were attracting.
