Conserns of heart problems

Dear Dr.

My little girl is almost 5years old. Since she was 4 she has been telling me that heart is " making funny" . She is a very busy little girl but when it comes to real physical activity (like riding her bike) she gets tired very quickly. She also has a very fast heart rate but according her Peadiatrition it is within the normal range for her age.
Call it mothers instict but really want to have further checks done on her, for peace of mind. What tests do i need to request? Can a i insist on this test, even if the doctor feels nothing is wrong.
I would really appreciate your imput.
Many Thanks

Your daughter is at an age when she can tell you if something is bothering her. She has possibly noticed that she has an unusual heart beat or pulse. Also she tires readily which is unusual for a little girl of her age.You have noticed that she has a rapid pulse.I am not happy to call any of these symptoms normal. She may have what is called an 'arrhythmia' or abnormal heart beat/pulse. Your daughter should be seen by a paediatric cardiologist who will do all the necessary tests.
