Q.

My son has a cough

My son is a 6month old premature baby and recently he started coughing also his chest makes a whistling sound

Your baby almost certainly has a chest infection known as bronchiolitis. This is always caused by a virus infection. I am a bit concerned because you mention that your baby was premature. It would be best to ask your paediatrician to see your baby just to be on the safe side. If your baby is breathing rapidly, is refusing to feed properly of cannot sleep because of his cough and chest infection, please take him to your nearest after hours paediatric unit immediately
