I am also worried about your son and agree with your concerns. His leaky ear is either due to infected mucus coming from his grommet or from a perforation of his eardrum. Either way there is no doubt that he has an infection in his ear. giving an old fashioned sedating antihistamine like Allergex is not going to help your son. Then he has a bad nasal infection as well. It sounds like he may have sinusitis or adenoiditis. The latter is probably more likely if he still has his adenoids. Either way your son needs to urgently be seen by another ENT specialist. It may well be best to take your son to an emergency paediatric unit where he can be properly examined and the ENT specialist on duty can see your son urgently.and this will have to be a different ENT specialist
