Q.

Intermittent fluttering in my left ear

I t started last night and its not constant. It does interfere with my sleep and day. No pain and I am not on any medications. I drink water most of the time except for my morning tea and iced tea with lunch. What could be causing this flutter and how can I get rid of it?

Hi Gina

I would recommend that you go for a hearing test.  The audiologist will then (after seeing your results) be able to give you more specific information regarding your complaint. He or she will probably ask you some questions regarding the fluttering and how/when it started. If they feel it necessary, they may refer you to an Ear, Nost and Throat specialist.

Good luck!

A few years back I also heard fluttering in my ears. I wouldn't hear it all the time just randomly throughout the day. Went to the Dr and turns out I had a tick on my ear drum. Not a fun experience
