Q.

Flimmer over lens

I sometimes have a flimmer in the outer corner of my left eye, like looking through tears. What can cause it? I am 73 years old, do not need spectacles.

Hi there

We all can experience entoptic phenomenon, which are visual effects that can occur within the eye. If there is something that is a new onset and persists, it would be best to see your optometrist.

Best wishes!
