Q.

Enchroma glasses for Elder with cataracts.

My Mom refuses to go to an eye doctor for her cataracts. She has dementia and it is difficult to convince her to go after getting a diagnosis of tight cataracts. Would the enchroma glasses help her to see? She is not seeing color well. Purple is brown. Green is blue. Many thanks for any advice. I want Mom to see again!

Hi there

Unfortunately the colour vision changes your mom is experiencing is due to the lens changes that is cataracts. The only long term solution would be to have cataract surgery. I hope you can find a way to convince her to see an ophthalmologist again.

Best wishes!
