my father had diabetes - will I get it?

my father got it when he was 30 - will I get it too?

Hi

Risk factors for diabetes include age > 45, being overweight overweight, a family history of diabetes, high blood pressure, raised cholesterol, or polycystic ovarian syndrome. In view of your father being diabetic, you would be at increased risk, but it is not a given fact. If you look after your weight, exercise and eat a balance diet, then you will markedly reduce your risk of getting diabetes
