Let’s face it – life is demanding in the fast lane and many of us find ourselves devoid of time, energy or enthusiasm to inject into realising a health or fitness related goal close to our hearts.
Alternatively – perhaps you are one of the lucky ones with loads of energy and enthusiasm, but you simply lack the “know-how” to achieve that elusive goal. Either way, the Sports Science Institute of SA’s innovative 8-week programme, aptly named GO-4-IT, aims to get you there.
Realise your 'it'
Whether your goal is to shape up; to get some zip back into your life, to realise a sporting goal, to get stronger and bigger, or meaner and leaner, let GO-4-IT help you realise your “IT”!
This highly individualised programme starts off with comprehensive health and fitness testing to ascertain your baseline levels. These results are then used by a biokineticist to design your individualised training programme.

Whilst three to five sessions of exercise per week might be prescribed, (depending on your individual needs and resources), every week, two of these sessions are a one-on-one supervised session.
There are sixteen such sessions during the 8 week period and these ensure that you are doing everything to the best of your ability and 100% correctly!
Other benefits you receive on GO-4-IT are: full membership of our SSISA Wellness and Fitness Centre for the duration of the course; consults with either our psychologist or dietician; online support from an exercise fundi; and a really trendy SSISA ON THE MOVE branded tog-bag.
Two available options
There are two options of the GO-4-IT programme available and they depend on whether you prefer the flexibility and focus of one-on-one training (Go-4-IT SOLO), or the motivation and support of working out with a like-minded, similar-ability spouse, partner, colleague, friend or sibling (Go-4-IT DUO).
There are also longer term membership packages available, should you wish to extend your membership at SSISA’s Wellness and Fitness Centre.
Our next series of GO-4-IT programmes kick off mid January 2015 – the perfect starting point for tackling new adventures in 2015.
