Dear Doctor, I am 58 years of age, about 2 years ago I had a bone density test which showed my bones were doing well, no problems. I had a hand xray now which showed the bones were osteoporotic. I need to have a bone density done now again, but I was wondering if this is the condition in my hands, do you think it is in the rest of my bones as well?. My doctor was very surprised because of the last test being so good. However, I have a pre cancer condition in my stomach that my specialist if monitoring all the time, and to hold back the condition turning to cancer I am using a lot of acid suppression tablets every day. I also have severe asthma, and can only breath because I use cortisone every day. Is it these 2 medications that would of contributed to the change in my bone condition?. What on earth is going to happen to me now, I have to use the acid suppression and cannot breath without the cortisone?. Kind regards Not what you were looking for?
