In one of the game's bitter (and typical) ironies, canny Munster's gamesmanship was on display for all to see in their 33-13 URC victory over the Lions at Ellis Park on Saturday, but it wasn't exactly appropriate for the disappointed hosts to complain much about it.
The tournament's defending champions had absolutely no problem slowing play down, particularly in terms of having a litany of players go down with "niggles" during breaks in play, and gained a crucial advantage when veteran fullback Simon Zebo nudged referee Craig Evans into awarding a penalty on the stroke of half-time.
