When Tamlyn Currin of jancisrobinson.com writes, "Reader: I fell in love. Watch these guys like a hawk. My hand hovered over 18…" Well, then, you take note. *Remember that the jancisrobinson.com rating scale is out of 20, and a 17.5 or 18-point score indicates some of the top wines in the world. 

Someone argued last night that you're born with class, but etiquette is learned, which made me think of Chardonnay… *Like a lot of things these days.  

I've recently been going down a Chardonnay-shaped rabbit hole, be it wooded, unwooded, crystalline, buttery, fynbossie, classic, ethereal, all the ways. As a variety, Chardonnay lives up to its noble bloodlines, exhibiting its inherent class in each of its chameleon-like iterations /terroirs, be it Pouilly-Fuísse, Chablis, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault Charmes… all Chardonnay, and that's just in France.
