Local favourites put their best foot forward as they stepped out in style for the launch of BET's (DStv 129) newest daily drama, Queendom. However, some local celebrities and fellow attendees missed the mark for the night's kasi glam-themed event.

Held at King's Kraal in Bryanston, attendees also got a glimpse of what they could look forward to from the show once it premieres on Monday, 22 April at 18:30.

In the premiere episode, viewers will be transported to the vibrant landscapes of the Ukhahlamba mountains and Tsakane township, where the clash of worlds sets the stage for an unforgettable journey. In 1994, Khethiwe (Sindi Dlathu) fled a haunting past at Ukhahlamba Palace. Thirty years later, King Banzi's (Hamilton Dlamini) vulnerability emerges during a poignant family dinner. Gogo Fung'ingozi's (Sibulele Gcilitshana) mystical rituals take an unexpected turn. As Tsakane faces an unprecedented water crisis, all eyes are on Ntandokayise (Linda Mtoba).
