The life of seasoned actor Mpho Sebeng will be honoured in a memorial service on Thursday. His family, friends, and industry colleagues will gather at the Joburg Theatre for the service, which will begin at 16:00.

His family confirmed the news in a statement on Sunday evening.

"The family of the South African entertainer, Mpho Sebeng, are saddened to confirm, to the public and media, that their son has indeed passed away," read the statement.
