A new study has found that women are more likely than men to suffer from long Covid and that they experience substantially different symptoms.
The study, published in Current Medical Research and Opinion, investigated the differences between the sexes in their Covid-19 responses and how long the illness impacts men, compared to women.
The researchers sifted through 4 346 publications and identified that 23 met eligibility criteria for Covid-19 infection and 12 for long Covid. The study sample amounted to 1.32 million patients who had acute Covid-19 and long Covid.
