Sasol chairperson Steven Westwell will retire on 1 June 2024 after 12 years in the position. Muriel Dube, Sasol's lead independent director, will be the acting chair. Mpho Nkeli is also retiring as non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee on 31 August. Earlier this month, Sasol's CFO Hanré Rossouw tendered his resignation after little more than two years in the job. Meanwhile, former BP executive David Eyton was appointed as a non-executive director from 1 September.
In a trading update for the year to end-March, Alexforbes expects its headline earnings per share to rise by between 23% to 33%. The group says it benefitted from solid growth in operating income owing to acquisitions and new business. Its results will be released on 10 June 2024.
