That spontaneous moment when you lock eyes with your lover and simply have to be alone is a big turn-on. But for people with jobs, families and responsibilities, it's not that often in our everyday lives that we're able to act on a sudden rush of steamy lust. Instead, we need to learn the art of the bedroom date.

Make a plan to be alone – ship the kids off to grandma, or arrange to leave work an hour early this evening. Planning for intimacy doesn't have to be boring. Use the anticipation to heighten the pleasure.

Plan a little surprise for your partner – perhaps a CD of sexy music with a rhythm that makes you move your hips, or a tube of lube that tingles. Knowing that when you get home, you'll be making love with the person you desire will surely make that commute home just a little less tedious. Go on – pick up the phone and make a naughty date!
