Your baby's immune system and digestive system needs a bit of time to develop. For this reasons, its safest to avoid certain foods during the first few months of life.

Foods to avoid during the first year include the following:
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Citrus fruits
  • Cow’s milk as a drink
  • Honey
Foods that can be introduced from the seventh month include the following:
  • Egg yolk
  • Fish and shellfish
  • Wheat-based foods
  • Plain Bulgarian yoghurt with AB cultures
