accreditation

Do you have risk factors for developing Prostate Cancer? If you are at risk, then you need to change your lifestyle!

When it comes to diet, a more nutritious diet may help prevent the development of Prostate Cancer. Research shows that a compound called lycopene, which gives some foods their deep colour, may decrease the risk of Prostate Cancer.

Vitamin E is another nutrient which may help reduce risk.

Include these foods in your diet:

- Tomatoes in any form – fresh, tinned whole tomato for sauces & stews, tomato sauce & tomato juice

Papaya, watermelon and ruby grapefruit

- Green leafy veg e.g. dark lettuce for salad, spinach & kale

Nuts, seeds and olive oil

- Follow a balanced diet with a low salt and low alcohol intake
