It’s been found that the consumption of up to 5 eggs per week does not significantly increase the risk of heart disease.
However, If you have very high cholesterol due to familial factors (hereditary), then it’s best to limit to 2-3 per week.
Eggs are actually very nutritious foods. They are a good source of protein as well as vitamins and minerals such as folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamins E and D, selenium, choline & zinc.
Enjoy them for breakfast with wholegrain or rye bread or in a salad for lunch.
