Identifying a stroke quickly

For victims of stroke, every second counts! The quicker a patient can receive thrombolytic drugs for an ischaemic stroke, the greater their chances of survival. If you suspect someone is having a stroke, it is important that you don't wait to see what happens - get them to their nearest stroke unit or hospital equipped to deal with a stroke as quickly as possible.
