Most people associate vitamin C with preventing colds and infections, but according to researchers, an adequate vitamin C intake may help prevent cataracts.

Two different studies both found that those who took a vitamin C supplement (300 mg per day) for 10 years or more had a 64% reduction in the risk of developing cataracts and improved general eye health.
