Unsure if you need antibiotics for conjunctivitis?

Bacterial infections usually occur in both eyes with a pussy discharge, whereas viral infections mostly affect only one eye (but can quickly spread to the other eye) and have a watery discharge. If your eyelids stick together when you wake up in the mornings, it is most likely bacterial and you will need antibiotic eye drops.
