Turmeric, a well-known spice in Indian cuisine, contains a chemical called curcumin that has anti-inflammatory properties.

Together with ginger this may bring significant relief for arthritis sufferers.  Make a tea infusion by adding a small piece of ginger and a teaspoon of turmeric to boiling water. Add honey to sweeten.
