With most of South Africa in the grip of searing heat, some parts of the country also have to deal with stifling humidity levels.
And with humidity comes a greater risk of mould – a known allergen for some.
A quick and effective (and cheap) way to rid surfaces of mould is plain household bleach. It can be used to clean floors, vinyl, tiles, woodwork and even appliances without damage.
Mix 50 ml of bleach per litre of water. Let it stand for 5 minutes and then use to wipe off surfaces.
