The old saying that money can’t buy you happiness is only partially true. A new study conducted among over 6000 people in Europe and North American has demonstrated that you can gain greater satisfaction in life if you are able to buy yourself some free time, for instance by paying a housekeeper to do chores like cleaning, cooking and washing. According to lead author Ashley Whillans of Harvard Business School, “our results suggest that buying time has similar benefits for happiness as having more money".
