How to remove a splinter

Experts say the best way to remove a splinter is to use tweezers that are slanted at the ends. Do it right away, especially if it's a wood splinter as wood softens over time and becomes harder to remove in one go. For small children, apply a thin layer of white household glue over the splinter and when it's dry, peel off - the splinter should come off as you remove the glue.
