How much does the average baby cry?

How much does the average baby cry? About two hours per day in the first two weeks of life. That’s according to a study that evaluated the behavior of nearly 8700 infants in industrialised countries. Crying tends to peak at 2 hours and 15 mins by six weeks and then reduces to 1 hour and 10 minutes per day by week twelve, although some infants were found to cry for more than 5 hours and others for only 30 minutes. Danish, German and Japanese babies tend to cry the least.
